Expo and Event Coordinator (Full-time)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for production of internal and external events from start to finish.  Controls and monitors the customer contact aspect of the facility operations by planning, monitoring, delegating, and managing the event coordination, crowd control, and outside contractor service functions for designated events held at the facility or designated locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.
  2. Communicates with clients (internal and external) to determine service and event production needs such as event set up, staffing, equipment rental, catering, security, parking, marketing and other related elements.
  3. Coordinates with internal staff through strong communication skills, utilization of work orders, fact sheets, emails, etc regarding event needs such as event operations, guest services, food and beverage, parking, ticketing, and marketing.
  4. Management of expo and event layouts, equipment rentals, booth sales and sponsorships through the ExpoCad program.
  5. Maintains positive public relations for the facilities with its patrons and the public.  Assures that the highest quality of service to all tenants, employees and patrons of the facility.
  6. Assists with the research and development of new expos and events.  In doing so, provides insight and creativity on how to produce and market the event.
  7. Assists with creating show budgets and/or forecasts as directed.
  8. Sells sponsorships, exhibit booths and marketing concepts as directed for specific events.
  9. Supervises designated facility events to ensure proper implementation of services per rental agreements and acts as Event Manager on Duty when assigned.
  10. Coordinates and executes event mailings and communications to vendors such as exhibitor check-in packets, post event surveys, etc.
  11. Tracks, monitors and prepares costs and invoicing relative to each event as needed, such as staffing, special requests and rental equipment.
  12. Creates and maintains files with comprehensive records for assigned events.  Develops and prepares related after-event building usage and service reports as designated.  Analyzes information for trends and budget recommendations.
  13. Responsible for other projects as directed by supervisor.
  14. Responsible for following, observing and participating in all company related safety programs, procedures and training.

IT Intern

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting IT department staff on various projects/tasks as needed.  This will help facilitate a better understanding of the business IT functions. This person will gain a better understanding of IT by applying the knowledge learned from being enrolled in a science program to real business practices.  Internship must be in conjunction with a program or degree that requires hours for credit.

RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.
  2. Learns how to perform administrative IT tasks on servers such as: assisting with PC builds/imaging, administration of user accounts, phone system changes, e-mail system administration, backups and virtual server management.
  3. Assists with Phone System extension inventory
  4. Works with the IT Department on the Ticketing System Migration including but not limited to: PC builds/imaging, inventory, peripheral setup, ticketing printers, and ticketing scanner configurations.
  5. Assist with Facility CMMS database software setup and data entry.
  6. General day-to-day cleanup tasks including telecom room organizing/cleaning, old computer hardware disassemble/hard drive formatting, and cable termination.
  7. Setup of events including wire and wireless networks, phone lines and survey tablets.
  8. Perform first level help desk duties.
  9. General administrative work as needed.

Overnight Security

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include to observe and monitor activities of the third shift operations to include staff and building security.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Requires a level of general education normally acquired in high school in order to interact in a professional manner with employees.
  2. Approximately one to two years related experience in security is preferred.
  3. Analytical ability necessary to determine the appropriate course of action when resolving security concerns, addressing safety issues and handling pressure and negative situations.
  4. Must be able to deal with employees in a tactful and direct manner.
  5. Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires prolonged sitting and/or walking for entire shift.  Requires normal range of hearing to communicate with employees and to hear building alarm systems or communication devices.  Requires range of vision correctable to 20/20 to monitor closed circuit television.  Must be able to climb and descend steps.

Web Developer/Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for working with Web Developer Lead and Marketing Managers to analyze, design, develop and implement creative and effective internet marketing strategies.  This includes but is not limited to: posting/updating events and information on the appropriate websites, email campaigns, converting images/video for use on websites, creating images, researching and developing internet options and opportunities, identifying solutions to issues that arise, staying abreast of technology, maintaining SEO and developing new websites as needed. Additionally, the Web Developer/Graphic Designer will assist in corporate identity packages, logo development, trade and consumer ads, brochures, direct mailers, point-of-purchase, billboard, digital imaging, web campaign imagery and presentations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1.  Requires an Associate Degree in Web Development and 1-year of experience in Website Development, and experience in Graphic Design.

2.  Minimum of 1-year work experience/experience building responsive websites.

3.  Ability to work on a PC and be knowledgeable in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, PHP, Java Script and WordPress.

4.  Interpersonal skills required in maintaining positive customer relations with clients, local business representatives and a variety of company personnel when developing programs and promotional material.

5.  Ability to read, understand, and implement information contained in general electronic media-related periodicals, user manuals, and other written forms of instruction.

Set-Up Crewperson – (Part time)

General Summary:  Under the direction of the Set-Up Operations Supervisor, performs set-up and tear down duties before and after events in the Brown County Veteran’s Memorial Complex/Resch Center.  Hours include days, evenings, nights & weekends.

Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity to operate hand tools, and eye hand coordination to operate machinery.  Requires standing, climbing, bending, and walking for extensive periods of time.  Frequently handles and lifts, carries or pulls items weighing up to 100 pounds.  Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

3rd Shift Cleaning Crewperson – (Part-time)

General Summary:   Responsible for performing general clean-up duties throughout the Resch Center/Brown County Veteran’s Memorial Complex.

Due to the nature of the event business, hours of employment may include:  evenings, weekends, holidays and summer hours.

Typical Physical Demands:  Requires standing, climbing stairs, bending and walking for extensive periods of time.  Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity to operate cleaning and lawn equipment, and eye-hand coordination to operate equipment such as a floor sweeper.  Frequently handles and lifts, carries or pulls items weighing up to 50 pounds.  Must be able to operate simple to complet and heavy duty machinery.
