Marketing Intern

General Summary:  This intern is responsible for assisting Marketing department staff on various projects as needed and will run from summer of 2015 through May of 2016.

Responsibilities include researching media opportunities, potential target consumer populations and industry trends.  Intern is responsible for performing on site promotional and marketing duties, social media projects, and general administrative duties including project assistance, filing and record maintenance.  Nights and weekends may be required periodically.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. Requires a level of general education normally acquired in first or second year of college in order to interact in a professional manner with patrons and employees.  Pursuing a degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Public Relations is preferred.
  2. Proven interpersonal and customer service skills necessary to promptly answer and resolve questions in a professional manner with patrons as well as maintain open channels of communication with all department and supervisory personal when providing information.  Must be able to deal with patrons and the public in a tactful and discretionary manner.  Must be able to understand the concept of extreme customer service and exceeding expectations.
  3. Analytical ability necessary to determine the appropriate course of action when resolving customer concerns.
  4. Ability to type and edit reports, correspondence, forms, reports, and other documents.
  5. Has proven social media skills and keeps up-to-date with latest Marketing tools.

Ice Technician (Full-Time)

General Summary:  To perform and assist in maintenance and upkeep of the ice arena, refrigeration systems and related auxiliary equipment and controls in the Resch Center and Brown County Veteran’s Memorial Building.  Operates Zamboni and required equipment related to these operations.  Other maintenance within the building is also required when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  1. Must have knowledge of theory and operation of refrigeration units, cycles, and repair in an ice arena.  Must have knowledge of theory and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls, equipment and instrumentation at a level normally acquired through an associate’s degree.
  2. Approximately four years of experience in the maintenance, operation and upkeep of an ice arena or in a related field.
  3. Analytical skills necessary in order to analyze all equipment, interpret gauges, consult technical manuals, and read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  4. Interpersonal skills essential when interacting with Supervisor, Company staff, event staff, visitors, and outside exhibitors.
  5. Must be able to operate a personal computer.
  6. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.

Sales Tax Accountant (Part-time)

General Summary: Responsible for all sales and use tax activities including analysis of accounts payable transactions for validation of tax treatment, preparation of sales/use tax returns and all related journal entries.  The Sales Tax Accountant has additional responsibilities in payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. Knowledge of accounting principles at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in accounting.  Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  2. A minimum of three to five years previous work experience filing state sales and use tax returns in order to gain a full understanding of sales tax regulations.
  3. Analytical skills necessary in order to prepare government forms and accrual reports.
  4. Interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel when discussing sales tax, payroll and accounting processes.
  5. Proven organizational skills in order to complete tasks timely and accurately.  Must be detail oriented.
  6. Previous experience utilizing Microsoft Office is required.  Must be able to create spreadsheets and use word processing programs.  Coursework or software experience and knowledge and skill in Great Plains Software helpful.
  7. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of Company records.

Backstage at the Meyer

CATERING MANAGER (Full-time)

General Summary: Responsible for the complete and total operation of the Backstage at the Meyer catering service, which involves managing the operations prior to, during, and after scheduled events.  Works directly with clients to guarantee the success of the event.  Manages client relationships and upholds employee and vendor relations to operate a successful catering service.  Recruits, manages, and trains staff.

CHEF (Full-time)

General Summary:  Responsible for the overall organization and supervision of kitchen operations at Backstage at the Meyer.  Researches, develops, and recommends innovative menu items and presentation.  Prepares food by establishing nutrition and presentation standards and preparation procedures.  Develops systems to ensure the highest level of quality through supervision and training subordinates.

BARTENDER (Part-time)

General Summary: Responsible for providing friendly, responsible service to create an exceptional entertainment experience for our guests at Backstage at the Meyer.  Establishes immediate interaction with guests through a greeting and an explanation of beverage and payment options.  Prepares, mixes, and serves beverages and ensures that everyone served is of legal drinking age.  Handles cash, makes change, stocks and cleans the bar area, maintains inventory, and assists other team members in providing the finest guest experience possible.

CATERING STAFF (Part-time)

General Summary:  Responsible for assisting with set-ups, clean-ups, and general catering facilitation at Backstage at the Meyer.  The catering staff serves as the primary frontline employee to our guests.  Greet guests, introduce himself/herself, and has a strong knowledge of beverage and food selections.  Ensures that high quality food product is delivered to guests in a professional and timely manner.  Requires the ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, cash handling, and the ability to interact well with the public and other staff members.

Candidates should be able to work a flexible, event-based schedule that will require working evenings and weekends.  Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Lambeau Field Operations – (Part-time)

PARKING ATTENDANT:

General Summary:  Responsibilities include, customer service, directing traffic, handling cash, implementing and following safety guidelines for patrons and employees.

Working conditions:  Frequent exposure to large crowds.  Works outside in the stadium/area-parking environment and is continually exposed to weather conditions and temperature extremes.

USHER:

General Summary:  Responsibilities include, serving as a resource to guests regarding the facility & events, checking tickets, ticket-taking, crowd control, and implementing and following facility emergency procedures, safety guidelines and company policies for patrons and employees.

TEXT MESSAGE STAFF:

General Summary:  Deliver and report results of text messages received and delivered during event.  Responsibilities include, serving as a resource to guests regarding the facility & events, assists ushers when necessary for crowd control, and implementing and following facility emergency procedures, safety guidelines and company policies for patrons and employees.

CLEANING SUPERVISOR:

General Summary:  Working supervisor facilitating during-game and post-game cleaning operations of Lambeau Field.

Ideally candidates should be able to work all home scheduled Lambeau events but we will consider other availability.  These positions include working evenings and weekends. These positions run from August to January. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
